The village of Ashton Hayes in Cheshire is hoping to become the first carbon neutral village in the UK. they are doing this be saving energy offsetting emmissions by planting woodland and generating from renewable energy. Ashton Hayes is a great example of communities taking action independantly of any government initiatives as most governments around the world have failed miserably to react to the threat of climate change.
