Most of Victoria and New South Wales in Australia has been in the grip of an unprecedented drought for the last ten years. River levels have dropped and reservoirs are at a fraction of their capacity. Lake Eildon was built in the 1950's to provide irrigation water, but the last time it was full was in 1995. The day the shot was taken it was at 29% capacity with levels down around 75 feet. This car would have been underwater when the reservoir was first built.
