The Skaftafellsjokull glacier. Like all Iceland's glaciers it is receding rapidly due to climate change. Scientists predict that all Iceland's glaciers will have disappeared within 100 years. The glaciers retreat is clearly visible on the left hand side where bands of maroaine have been deposited by the retreating glacier.
