The New Business Hub building at MMU, Manchester Metropolitan University, incorporates many green features including renewable energy, energy efficient heating and a pioneering, chilled concrete slab cooling system, which works by using ground water to cool the concrete slab floor. The building has been certified ‘Excellent’ under the BREEAM environmental assessment scheme.
