It has three 15 megawatt turbines that generate 8% of the buildings energy needs. It was designed by BLFS architects.

Temperatures over 42 degrees centigrade (now not uncommon in many parts of the fruit bats range) have resulted in fruit bat mortality causing them to die form hyperthermia.
