Producing oil from algae in this way is much more efficient than from growing traditional plant oil crops like oil seed rape. It also has the benefit that it does not take up space that could be growing food crops.

Ski Dubai is a massive skiing complex that has to be cooled to a constant below freezing temperature whilst the outside temperatures can reach 50 degrees celcius, requiring vast quantities of energy.
